I am happy to undertake research in any of the following areas:
I am ideally placed to take advantage of many national and local archives and record offices. My usual rate is £12.00 per hour. Archives and record offices often charge for copies of original documents. For example, a will from Scotland's People, costs £5.00. I would, of course, only charge you whatever it has cost me to acquire the document. I would also inform you, at the earliest possible opportunity, if such extra expenditure would be required. There are several ways in which you can contact me:
Please give me as much information as you can about your proposed history research project and I will get back to you with an estimate of the time the project will take and how much it is likely to cost. If I do not believe it is feasible,I will be completely upfront with you about this. I do not believe in wasting your time or money!
During the course of the project, I would keep you regularly updated with detailed written reports regarding the progress of the research. I would also consult with you at every stage. It is your project after all!
Methods of payment: I accept cheques, postal orders and international money orders (in British pounds sterling, please). I also accept Paypal. |
